Services

I work with adults coping with a wide range of emotional difficulties and life stressors. One of the special aspects of my practice is that I provide psychotherapy and counseling in addition to medication management. For patients choosing the combination of psychotherapy and medication management, my ability to provide both modalities offers an effective and cost-efficient form of treatment. I have flexible hours including some evening and Saturday morning appointments and I am usually able to schedule the initial appointment within a week. Established patients needing an urgent appointment before their regularly scheduled follow-up can usually be seen within a day or two.

Treatment Modalities
After thorough assessment, I propose and discuss a treatment plan with my patient, allowing adequate time for questions and for us to come to an agreement as to how to proceed. Some patients choose psychotherapy, some choose medication treatment and some choose both. Patients are generally seen individually; however, spouses, partners or family members are welcome to attend occasional sessions with the patient's consent.
Collaborative Care
With the patient's permission, I communicate with the primary care doctor and relevant specialists. If the patient is working with a therapist other than myself, I maintain an open line of communication to coordinate care. My colleagues here at Levine, Risen and Associates are a rich resource for couples counseling, group psychotherapy and mental health services for children and adolescents as well as adults.
